I'm now officailly part of NYDS/TEDS! Saturday, February 14, 2009
Okay people, once again I'm going to write some stuff about my day.
But first of all, Happy Valentine's Day everyone!
A day when singles hook up, couples make out or breakup or do some romantic stuff together.
So today i went to West Coast Park! For what you say? It was the very first NYDS/TEDS training for me! And it was loads of fun!
For those of you who do not now, NYDS = National Youth Drama Squad / TEDS = Thespians Enterprise Drama Squad
Nasri was late so just by myself I met up some people that I didn't know then at Clementi. NYDS peeps. We waited for a while longer for more members to arrive and we were off to West Coast Park!
I got to know a few people there, made friends and yeah.
First off we did some warm-ups, normal stretching and stuff.
But when I had thought it was over there were more exercises we had to do.
We did so many exercises and I could feel the burn all over my body especially in my thighs.
Believe me the exercises were like 30 times more painful than the normal streches we do in school.
After that we did some Wushu. Cool Right?
Learn a few stunts and positions and ways to counter an attack and stuff.
IT WAS SO EDUCATIONAL!
And after that, we had to the obstacle course challenge and it was fun.
We had to run about 400 m of distance too.
Moving on, we did some rhythm? exercises. Using Balls. Basket balls.
We were supposed to pass around the balls with a particualr rhythm.
And we would create the rhythm by slapping the ball or just bounce our bodies.
And then eventually Nasri came.
We went below a shelter and we were taugh JAPANESE by one of our squad members.
Girl called Anna. Japanese I think.
I learned a little bit of basic Japanese so people were a little curious as why I could read out Hiragana :)
After that we were taught to do a lyrical dance.
It was cool, except there were other people in the Squad who could do it so much better than me and Nas.
Finally we were split into 4 groups, T, E, D, and S.
I'm in group S! And no its not cause I'm an ass.
We were told to come up with a name for each of our groups and come up with a cheer!
This was what my fellow comrades came up with -
T - Twilight ( Which Nas is in)
E - Eclipse (Apparently there are a lot of Twilight freaks in the Squad)
D - Drameos ( Drama + Romeo ?)
S - Saints (NOT!)
After each of our groups performed the cheer, we were dismissed!
And after I went for church! Was terribly late!
But got in right on time when before the Sermon was about to start! Woohoo!
Went home after that, went out for dinner with parents, and now I'm here.
Okay, common tests are coming up. ( Sucks right? )
I'm currently pondering over something...
